Most first-time divers have the same questions. Here are the answers before you book your Discover Scuba Diving experience in Siquijor.
Yes. You don’t need to be a strong swimmer to enjoy Discover Scuba Diving.
You’ll wear a buoyancy device and stay under the direct supervision of your instructor throughout the experience.
Absolutely.
Discover Scuba Diving is a beginner program created by PADI. Before entering the water, you’ll receive a full briefing and practice the basic skills in shallow water before visiting the reef.
The maximum depth is 12 meters, but that’s a limit—not a goal.
Many guests stay shallower and still enjoy an amazing first dive. Your instructor adapts the experience to your comfort level.
That’s completely normal.
Most first-time divers are a little nervous at first. We move slowly, explain every step, and never rush you.
Just bring:
– swimsuit
– sunscreen (only if reef safe)
– your excitement!
We provide all scuba equipment.
Nature never comes with guarantees—but sea turtles are seen regularly around Siquijor.
You may also encounter clownfish, colorful reef fish, nudibranchs, octopus and many other marine species.
Yes! Many guests decide to continue after their first dive.
You can easily upgrade to a second guided reef dive and explore another dive site on the same day or even enroll for you Open Water Diver certification!
Before diving, you’ll complete the official PADI Medical Questionnaire.
If you answer “Yes” to any question, it doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t dive. In some cases, you may simply need approval from a doctor.
